“This is a new album of traditional songs and folk songs. It is for the people who listened to the previous albums and said ”Yes but why didn’t you put more songs on it?”. Well this time it’s all songs! I was delighted that Caroline Locke was able to join me again with her lovely and tasteful piano-playing. Caroline also played on my first CD, Hollow Lands and Hilly Lands. This new album was recorded in Brian McDonagh’s studio in Sligo, and Brian also contributed some great mandola-playing on two of the songs.” – Philip Doddy
